Code of Conduct
Rules and Regulations for Students:
Display of Identification Cards: It is compulsory for all students to display their ID cards at all times while on campus. Failure to comply with this rule may result in a fine of Rs 200.
Smoking Policy: COMSATS University Lahore is a No Smoking Campus. Any violation of this policy will result in a fine of Rs 200.
Vandalism: Foot-printing or any form of defacing of walls, furniture, or fixtures within the campus is strictly prohibited and will be considered a serious offence. The fine for violation of this rule will be Rs 200.
Dress Code: Adherence to the university's dress code is mandatory for all students. Wearing jeans, joggers, not wearing a necktie or shalwar Qameez without a waistcoat or coat will be considered a severe violation of the dress code. The fine for this violation will be Rs 500.
Use of Mobile Phones: The use of cell phone cameras within the campus is not allowed without prior permission from the administration. Any violation of this policy will result in a fine of Rs 500 and the confiscation of the device.
Verbal or Physical Abuse: Any form of verbal or physical abuse towards other students, staff, or faculty members within the campus is strictly prohibited and will be considered gross misconduct. The minimum fine for such incidents will be Rs 1000, and depending on the nature and severity of the incident, the case may be referred to the management for further action, including expulsion.
Property Damage: Any damage caused to university property, such as furniture and fixtures, is prohibited and will result in a fine of Rs 500. The violator will also be liable to pay for the damages.
Disruptive Behavior: Any disruptive behavior, such as littering or loose talk within the campus, is unacceptable and will result in a fine of Rs 200.
Tampering with Notices: Tampering with or making comments on notices issued by the university management placed anywhere within the campus is prohibited and will result in a fine of Rs 500.
Note:
- The amount of the fine will be deposited within five days. The time will start from the day, the fine has been imposed.
- For depositing fine, the students will be required to get a Challan Form from accounts office and deposit the amount in bank.
