If you're an aspiring project manager, program manager or general manager, our MSPM program gives you the tangible and practical skills you need to help organizations operate smoothly and efficiently.

The MS in Project Management degree has been designed specifically as a conversion course for graduates seeking to focus their vocational interest in project management, and wishing to develop their career in this increasingly important field of management. In addition to equipping you with key project management tools and techniques used by professional project managers, the programis designed to build your familiarity with management theory, and with the language and practice of management. There is a strong business focus, and the program's core modules provide a thorough grounding in strategic thinking, project definition, planning and control, applied project management, behavioral aspects and managing organizational change.

The program will help you to understand the complexities of organizational change and develop your ability to manage and deliver change successfully through projects, particularly via effective engagement of stakeholders. Following are the salient features of the program :

Eligibility Criteria

• 16 years degree in business administration, administrative sciences, public administration, or relevant discipline from an accredited educational institution.
• NTS (GAT General test) with 50% marks

Program Scope

The program while having an applied focus for developing project management skills also offers students to take up a research thesis in which they select project oriented organizations to research on.

Faculty Profile

Currently, there are 66 full time faculty members teaching in MS department and management-related courses in other departments

• 8 faculty members with foreign doctoral degrees from USA, UK, Germany, Malaysia, Japan, and China
• 7 faculty members with an indigenous doctoral degree
• 11 faculty members hold foreign MS degrees from USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Sweden, and Australia
• 16 faculty members have MS degrees from well reputed Pakistani universities
• 24 have MBA or equivalent qualification
• Most non-PhD faculty members have very good corporate experience which add value to the students learning
• Foreign faculty from Germany, USA, UK, Australia, and Malaysia and other developed countries regularly delivers lectures

The program develops students’ skills to work as project manager/programmanager in organizations especially project-based organizations. Alternatively, they might undertake research oriented career in consulting and teaching.

Curriculum Development

Suggestions/proposals are collected from faculty and academic area in-charges. These suggestions/proposals are discussed in the Departmental Academic Review Committee (DARC). If accepted by the DARC, these recommendations are then forwarded to the Board of Studies (BOS) for further consideration. Accepted proposals are then forwarded to the Board of Faculty (BOF). If approved by the BOF, recommendations are then finally get approved by the Academic Council to be included as part of the curriculum.

Quality Assurance

Quality of education under this program is monitored at the departmental and institutional level.

• Academic Area heads are appointed to monitor content and quality of the courses
• Fortnightly Review Report (FRR) is generated to ensure coverage and monitor delivery of lectures
• Fortnightly Review Report (FRR) is discussed in detail in Departmental Academic Review Committee (DARC) meeting
• Academic area heads provide feedback to the faculty which incorporate and adjust the contents accordingly
