The mainstay of the department of Humanities is its maiden undergraduate degree programme i.e., four years BS Psychology.

As a student of BS Psychology, you take a wide range of related course work focusing on Human Development, Abnormal Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology, Neuropsychology, Research Methodology and Personality Psychology.These courses help you develop an understanding of psychological theory, research skills, and psychological techniques necessary to be successful as a practitioner of Psychology. At CUI, this degree will enable you to assess human personality, intelligence and attitudes, to acquire interviewing techniques, questionnaire design and analysis, to study child development, and to learn the methods of teaching and learning.

Prospects of a degree in Psychology

An undergraduate degree in Psychology prepares you to go for careers in armed forces, teaching, research, and health. The following job sectors are open to the graduates of psychology:

Armed Forces, Police, and Management training, Nongovernmental Organizations (NOGs), Industries and Organizations, Hospitals, Schools, Research Institutes, various departments of Government of Punjab like special education, social work, labor and population welfare, etc.

The degree also prepares you for advanced studies including Clinical, Counseling, Organizational, Forensic, Career, consumer and Health Psychology.

  • Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 50% marks, from an accredited institution
  • Valid NTS test Score as per CUI Policy
