CU-Online as Mandatory platform only during COVID 19 lockdown

Dear Students,

It is felt pertinent to be reiterated that as per the decision of the last meeting of HoDs with worthy Director and Head of Academics CUI Lahore, CU Online is the only mandatory platform for CUI Lahore faculty to adopt and maintain for online teaching in asynchronous mode during COVID 19 lockdown.

Any other collaboration platform be it WhatsApp, Zoom, Google ClassRoom, MS Office 365 (MS Teams) etc, may be adopted as an add-on auxiliary to the mandatory requirement and that too solely on the discretion, resourcefulness and initiative of the faculty member teaching an online course and his/her students if needed.

Academic arrangements in COVID-19 situation

It is hereby notified that after availing two (2) weeks’ pause, classes of all BS programs will resume with effect from April 13, 2020.

1. The semester workload will be taken up as follows:
   • 2 courses to be completed until May 31, 2020. The Heads of Department will notify the titles/course codes, timetable, etc. to the students in due course; and
   • Balance courses will be offered post May 31, 2020 but essentially to be completed before the start of Fall 2020 semester.
2. MS and PhD programs will follow the Spring 2020 timetable, notified earlier.
3. The faculty and students would use CU Online portal for academic exchanges. The faculty may further opt for the use of suitable electronic means, as and when required.
4. Should the students need any guidance, they may seek advice from the course instructor and the Head of Department in the stated order.
5. Academic arrangements issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
