MoU between The Department of Chemical Engineering/CUI, Lahore Campus and CMYK Research and Development Gujranwala

COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is a public sector varsity of the Ministry of Science and Technology, has an active research culture and is ranked among the top Pakistani universities. The Department of Chemical Engineering (ChE) CUI Lahore Campus, a top ranked in the country reported by QS University Rankings, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CMYK Research and Development, Gujranwala, a chemical based products manufacturing company. The agreement will lead to the collaborative research on different processes/products development and their large-scale production. The MoU is a step forward towards knowledge economy expected to benefit the society with sustainable industrial growth and innovative local products, says a press release. ChE/CUI and CMYK joined hands together through a formal agreement signing held at the Lahore campus on Tuesday, 23rd Feb 2021. The agreement will lead to development and commercialization of different processes and products. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Farooqui, Head A&R CUI Lahore Campus, in his message appreciated the efforts of Dr. Murid Hussain (Head Chemical Engineering), the Department of Chemical Engineering, and the respective team in CMYK moving towards technology commercialization. He said that CUI being the premier research university of Pakistan feels proud to collaborate with the local industry to realize technologies that have a wider socio-economic impact.
