100 Credit Hours Course on “Certified Practitioner of Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy, (NGH, USA)”

The Department of Humanities, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Muhammad Ali Jinnah Campus, Lahore, is now offering a 1 months certified International Professional Training Course entitled “Certified Practitioner of Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy (NGH, USA)” in collaboration with the National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. which is a not-for-profit, educational corporation in the State of New Hampshire, officially founded in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1950. The Guild is a professional organization composed of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism. Such courses are being offered in Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi and a course was offered for the first time in Bahria University, Islamabad in January, 2016. Hence COMSATS would be the first Institute of Lahore to offer an NGH, USA certification course among the Higher Education Sector Institutions of Punjab.

Dr. Muneeba Shakeel (Assistant Professor, COMSATS, CI, CH)

Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, NGH certified instructor of hypnotherapy, NGH Certified Hypnotherapist, Licensed NLP Practitioner, Mind Science Specialist & Transformation Mind Technologies Practitioner®. Have 5 years of experience in dealing with Psychological disorders, as a Clinical Psychologist, 3 years experience in teaching psychology and is a practicing certified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. She is affiliated with non-profit organization Transformation inspire for better living, is a member of Pakistan Psychological Association and National guild of Hypnotists, USA. Conducts paid and free workshops and seminars in different parts of Pakistan and is a practicing clinical Psychologist in Lahore. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore.

Ms. Rukhsana Toheed Ahmed (CI, CH, Lahore)

Post magisterial Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PMDCP), NGH certified instructor of hypnotherapy, NGH Certified Hypnotherapist, Licensed NLP Practitioner, Mind Science Specialist & Transformation Mind Technologies Practitioner®. Having more than 7 years of experience in teaching psychology and dealing with psychologically disturb people. She is affiliated with nonprofit organization Transformation inspire for better living, is a member of Pakistan Psychological Association and National guild of Hypnotists, USA. Conducts paid and free workshops and seminars in different parts of Pakistan and is a practicing clinical Psychologist at Family Health Clinic, services Hospital, Lahore.
The instructors are trained by Dr. Imran Yousaf Mohammad (Sitara-e-imtiaz) a Canadian citizen with MBA and Ph.D in Clinical Hypnotherapy (USA) and is silva trainer, board certified international master Instructor of hypnotherapy for national guild of hypnotists (NGHTM , USA) and the only NLP master trainer in Pakistan certified by both the Co-Creators of NLP Dr. Richard Bandler and Dr. John Grinder.

Introduction

Hypnotherapy: Hypnosis is a focused mental state of heightened awareness in which an individual’s mind becomes receptive to suggestions. Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy which employs the hypnotic process and techniques to assists the client achieving this focused mental state of heightened awareness and suggestibility to activate his/her inner resources to bring about positive and beneficial therapeutic changes in his/ her life.

Prerequisite/Qualification:

Prerequisite for admission in 100 credit hour course entitled “Certified Practitioner of Hypnotherapy (NGH, USA)” is successful completion of MA/M.Sc. in Psychology or B.S. (04 years) in Psychology or equivalent degree from HEC Recognized University (Minimum Second Division). Prerequisite for participants other than psychology background is Minimum 16 years of education i.e. MA/M.Sc. in relevant field, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree from HEC Recognized University (Minimum Second Division).

Course Duration

This course of Hypnotherapy will be of one month duration and is planned to be offered in semester break before Fall, 2016.
