• Visit of Chinese Delegates and Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony
• Dr. Muhammad Yar's project "Converting inexpensive indigenous chitosan to high value commercial pro-angiogenic tissue-engineered skin grafts for burn patients" is one of the success stories HEC has achieved under TDF projects
• HEC-NRPU awarded to Dr. Usman Latif for the project titled "NOVEL ELECTROSPUN NANOFIBERS FOR POINT­OF­CARE PATHOGEN DETECTION - DENGUE VIRUS SENSOR", worth 3.5 million PKR.
• Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) research fund awarded to Dr. Usman Latif titled "Label free, non-invasive biomimetic sensor for detecting oral cancer", worth 1.8 million PKR
• HEC-NRPU awarded to Dr. Usman Latif for the project titled "A SENSOR ARRAY TO DIAGNOSE ALL ­CAUSE MORTALITY BIOMARKERS -­ DEATH RISK ASSESSMENT", worth 6.8 million PKR.
• HEC-NRPU awarded to Dr. Abdur Rahim for the project titled "SMART NITRITE SENSOR FOR REAL­TIME FOOD AND WATER QUALITY MONITORING – IMPROVING PUBLIC HEALTH", worth 4.5 million PKR.
• HEC-Technology Development Fund (TDF) of 14.06 million PKR titled " Implementation of a field portable prototype as an early warning system for on-site screening of food products in agriculture industry" awarded to Dr. Akhtar Hayat, in collaboration with EcoBio Foods as industrial partner
• Dr. Omer Javed Chaudhary, The University of Auckland, New Zealand presented his work to the IRCBM faculty, titled “Polymer Brush Grafting by Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization: A Novel Approach to Robust Biomimetic Adhesives”
• Dr. Qasim, King Faisal University Saudi Arabia presented his research work, titled "Molecular Characterization of Entosis” at IRCBM.
• 3rd Dental and Biomaterials Summer Camp, 2017 successfully conducted by IRCBM. Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Director CUI Lahore Campus graced the closing ceremony with his presence as Chief Guest, held at IRCBM.
• Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Director CUI Lahore Campus presided a meeting with the faculty of IRCBM. Prof. Ihtesham-ur-Rehman, Executive Director IRCBM and Dr. Aqif Anwar, Head IRCBM were also present. Prof. Qaisar praised the overall performance and discipline of IRCBM's faculty.

• Jun 09, 2016: Dr. Asma Tufail Shah's PSF grant on Bioactive Glass Polymer Composites for Treatment of Bony Defects (~3.8 million PKR) approved
• Jun 09, 2016: Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry's PSF grant on New Generation Bone Defect Fillers (~1.7 million PKR) approved
• Dec 15, 2015: IRCBM recieves Pakistan's first low load electrohydraulic fatigue tester.
• Oct 27, 2015: US patent has been granted to Dr. Muhammad Yar. (Patent number: US 9169221 B2)
