Third Symposium: Recent Advances and Challenges, December 18-20, 2012

The 3^rd International Symposium on Biomedical Materials: Recent Advances and Challenges, spanned over a period of three days, (the 18th to 20th of December 2012). The event was hosted at PC (Pearl Continental) Catering on Raiwind Road. These convergence points of this symposium were to:

• Visit the recent advances in the field of biomedical materials and tissue engineering (BMTE)
• Analyze the progress on the front of BMTE in Pakistan
• Pin-point global and national challenges to research
• Highlight importance of research to global and national economies
• Encourage interdisciplinary research, particularly in Pakistan
• Involve the Government and related entities in developing a comprehensive strategy for chartered developments in the field of Biomedical Materials and Tissue Engineering in Pakistan
