CUI ranked at #6 by HEC due to its research progress in all over Pakistan. The library also preserve this research and prepare the repository to facilitate the future research scholars within as well as outside the CUI Lahore. Research repository have all the articles published in different national international journals during the year 2002 to update. This Research Repository also have the conference papers / proceedings of the faculty members of CUI Lahore.

CUI Course Catalog Portal is an information and assistance resource designed for the CUI Faculty and Staff. The purpose of this portal is to provide a single point of contact for the employees of CUI. Every possible effort has been made to ensure that the information presented in this Catalog is correct. Electronic Resource Section of the Library plays a vital role in research activities of the Institute. More than +1700 CDs/DVDs, on different subjects and +1700 Video / Audio Cassettes are available in the library. Now library started to acquire entertainment movies for library users.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has provided 40,000 online books access to COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in addition to 23,000 journals that have been made available through the Digital Library Programme.
