Professional Linkages

CUI Lahore library has established formal professional relations with other libraries. For this purpose, agreements have been signed with different libraries. Through this linkage, the faculty members can get access the resources from other reputable libraries.

To get the resource, please follow the below steps:
1. Click the OPAC (given below) of the library, where you want to get the resource.
2. Copy the source link
3. Send it to circulation@cuilahore.edu.pk
4. The library will acquire the information source for you, and you will be intimated when the source received
5. The received source will be issued to you for a period of 2 weeks.

OPAC CUI – All Libraries

Government College University (GCU), Lahore

GC University Lahore Library came into existence in 1872. A proper library with an office and a reading room was established in 1937 in memory of Mian Fazl-i-Hussain, a renowned educationist. The library building was once again expanded in 1964. In 1999, the Postgraduate Library was established to enhance library activities.

Recently another library namely Life Sciences Library was established by merging the Botany, Zoology, and Institute of Biotechnology departmental libraries. The total area of all the GCU Libraries is more than 35000 sq. feet. At present, it has a total number of 349,797 books including precious personal collections. The library receives 236 national and international journals.

CUI Lahore has a professional linkage with this historical university of Lahore. The library is very rich in all collections.

University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore

UMT supports its academic programs and research initiatives through a modern, state-of-the-art Learning Resource Center (LRC), which is an indispensable source of information for faculty and students and contains one of the best collections of books in Pakistan on all academic disciplines comprising more than 145000 books. It also subscribes to 90 foreign and local journals/magazines, 18 online journals, and books databases.

LRC uniquely contains a repository of 23 personal collections which were formerly owned and donated by eminent Pakistani scholars and intellectuals. It also has a Learning Disability Center for people with special needs.

CUI Lahore recently signed an agreement with UMT and have developed professional linkage to share information services and resources. Following in the link of UMT OPAC:
