CEC: a society for promoting knowledge
CUI Lahore Library is a hub of knowledge and provides information services to faculty and students. The library also organized different programs to enhance the reading habits among library patrons. Information literacy programs, orientation sessions, Book Fairs, Celebration of World Book Day are the major sources for the library to not only interact with the library users but also to market the library resources to its patrons.
To organize such programs, the library staff needs human support form faculty particular from students. With the partnership of students, library holds such good events in past and plan to arrange in future as well. Library is also planning to establish "Book Bank", on the basis of donated books from the students and for the students, of CUI Lahore. This is only possible with the support of students. For this purpose, we are have established CEC at CUI Lahore.
Promotion of Reading Culture
The CEC will promote a strong reading culture among students and staff through engaging
and educational activities.
Key activities may include:
- Organizing Book Fairs in collaboration with publishers and bookstores.
- Celebrating World Book Day and other literary events.
- Conducting book talks, book reviews, and reading circles.
- Hosting author talks and literary discussions.
- Arranging library orientation and reading campaigns.
Educational and Intellectual Activities
The CEC will facilitate knowledge sharing and intellectual development through academic programs.
Activities may include:
- Seminars and guest lectures on diverse academic and social topics.
- Workshops and training sessions for skill development.
- Panel discussions and academic forums.
- Research awareness sessions and knowledge-sharing events.
Information Sharing through Entertainment
The CEC will combine learning with entertainment to make knowledge sharing more engaging.
Activities may include:

- Match screenings of major sports events.
- Educational film screenings and documentaries.
- Quiz competitions and interactive knowledge games.
Social Networking and Community Building
The CEC will provide opportunities for students and staff to interact, collaborate, and build professional and social networks.

The CEC will support the holistic development of students by encouraging creativity, leadership, and collaboration.
