In their own words — graduates of the Department of Statistics on their time at CUI Lahore and where it led them.

  • Warda Khan Warda Khan MS Statistics, 2019

I got admission in 2017 in MS Statistics. I was not confident enough to get admission in COMSATS Lahore, but Alhamdulillah I am always proud to be a pioneer — today, what I am, all credit goes to the institution and my respected teachers at COMSATS Lahore, especially Dr. Aamir Sanaullah. After completing my course work I got an opportunity to work as a Research Assistant under the supervision of an amazing Prof. Dr. Aamir Sanaullah. I also have a publication in the Journal of Statistical Computation. The guidance I got from CUI Lahore is still helping me in my career. The relationships I was able to have with professors made me feel like I had a lot of support — several people to ask for help and direction as I navigate this new chapter of my life. I’m ready to go back to the workforce. I feel confident and consistent. Loads of thanks to this institution for its great support.

  • Husna Sadaf Husna Sadaf MS Statistics, 2018 – 2020

I’ve chosen COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus for my MS (Statistics) to enhance my knowledge in this advanced era of Statistics. Here I got many opportunities to polish my understanding and skills, and I have achieved expertise and proficiency in my subject. I worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Aamir Sanaullah for the NRPU project (2019–2020), and won a scholarship award from NRPU. Being at CUI Lahore Campus, I got two of my papers published. It was a journey to remember. I feel proud to be a COMSIAN.

  • Muhammad Zeeshan Muhammad Zeeshan BS (Hons.) Applied Statistics, 2022

Graduating in 2022, with a lot of questions still unaddressed, I took my way into the professional field holding my worries. With just a tablespoon of effort and determination it took no time to land myself in a professional career — I started working with a company as a research analyst. With the recipe of success in mind taught by our teachers, I kept my head down, stayed humble and kept getting the work done. That’s what, in my opinion, everyone has to do and they’ll get noticed. Someone will be there to identify your talent, and a better opportunity will be in front of you soon enough. Today I’m working as a Production Manager at a Research Service Provider (RSP) company. May God help us all and be with every person whose eyes shine with bigger dreams.
