COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus, held a Time-Scale Promotion
Ceremony to recognize and facilitate more than 80 faculty members, security personnel and
other staff members whose promotions had been pending since 2023.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Director, CUI Lahore Campus, presented
promotion letters to the promoted employees and congratulated them on their professional
advancement.

The promoted faculty and staff members expressed their gratitude
to Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, Rector, COMSATS University Islamabad, and Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas,
Director, Lahore Campus, for facilitating the completion of the long-pending promotion
process.
Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas said that the
professional growth of faculty and staff was directly linked to the progress of the
institution. He emphasized that every employee should receive their due rights in a fair and
timely manner. He said the success of an academic institution depends significantly on the
professional development, dedication and commitment of the people associated with it.
Congratulating the promoted employees, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas
emphasized that professional advancement also brings greater responsibility. He encouraged
them to become role models for their colleagues, continue progressing in their respective
careers and contribute even more actively to the development and welfare of the university.
Under the Time-Scale Promotion process, faculty and staff members
from different departments and administrative units were promoted. Among them, Dr. Sohail
Riaz, Head of the Department of Media and Communication Studies, was also promoted to OG-III
grade.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph of Prof. Dr. Qaisar
Abbas with the promoted faculty members, officers and staff, as he extended his best wishes for
their future professional growth.
