Isteqbal-e-Ramadan Seminar Held at COMSATS Lahore Campus
Overview
COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus organized its annual Isteqbal-e-Ramadan Seminar at the Main Jamia Masjid on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, to warmly welcome the blessed month of Ramadan. The spiritually uplifting gathering was attended by a large number of students, faculty members, administrative officers, and staff.
The event aimed to prepare the university community—particularly the younger generation—for the sacred month through reflection, purification of the self, and renewed commitment to faith and character.
Guest Speaker
The seminar featured Muhammad Soban Attari, a renowned Islamic scholar, motivational speaker, and Khateeb of Jamia Masjid Qaddafi Stadium. Known for his dynamic and youth-engaging style, he delivered a powerful bayan on the preparation and resolutions of Ramadan and the purification of the self.
Program Proceedings
The program commenced at 10:30 AM with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by heartfelt Naat and Kalam recitations by the students and attendees.
The honorable guest speaker arrived at 11:40 AM and began his Sunnah-inspired bayan at 11:45 AM. Addressing the audience—particularly Gen Z students—he established a strong spiritual and motivational connection, emphasizing the significance of the blessed month of Ramadan, the discipline of self-control, the transformation of habits and intentions, and the importance of utilizing Ramadan as a turning point in life.
His interactive and relatable approach deeply resonated with the youth, inspiring them to embrace Ramadan with sincerity, discipline, and spiritual ambition.
The session concluded with Salam and a heartfelt Dua at 12:30 PM, followed by the distribution of Sweets among the participants, fostering a spirit of unity and brotherhood.
Interaction and Engagement
At the end of the seminar, Muhammad Soban Attari graciously met with attendees, including students, faculty members, staff, and administrative officers. In the closing remarks, the Additional Registrar, Lahore Campus, Dr. Rashid Ahmed Khan, appreciated the guest speaker and expressed that such spiritually enriching activities should continue to be organized on campus on a regular basis.

The Isteqbal-e-Ramadan Seminar successfully created an atmosphere of spiritual anticipation and moral reflection across campus.
