Prof. Sheila MacNeil

Prof. Sheila is a Professor of Tissue Engineering at Sheffield University. She has expertise in tissue engineering of skin, oral mucosa, urethra, oesophagus and cornea with strong focus on translating research to clinic. She has been working with clinicians in Sheffield since 1992, delivering autologous keratinocytes to burn patients. She has developed commercial products MySkin™ and Cryoskin™ via Regenerys Ltd. Her recent research with Associate Professor Muhammad Yar of COMSATS University Lahore has led to a joint patent describing the efficacy of a small sugar 2 deoxy-D-ribose in promoting neovascularisation when delivered from a variety of substrates both in vitro and in vivo. She received UK Society of Biomaterials President’s Medal for her contributions in Biomaterials in September 2014. She was also awarded with Chapman medal for Innovative Biomaterials research in 2018.


Prof. Tariq Iqbal

Prof. Tariq Iqbal is a plastic surgeon/Cosmetic surgeon Practicing in Islamabad. He is currently practicing in Institute of Medical Sciences, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad. He is Convener of Expert Panel of Pakistan Medical Research council. He is also a Consultant/technical adviser for establishment of International center for Burns Reconstructive surgery at Multan by Smile-again Foundation & various projects of construction of Burns & Trauma centers across Pakistan by Worker Welfare Fund of Pakistan. He has designed and Established a state-of-the-art Burn Care Center at PIMS, inaugurated by the President of Pakistan on 6th Dec 2007. The center has managed more than 50,000 burn patients during the last 08 years. He has established a two-years postgraduate fellowship and five-years MS programs in Burns Surgery at this center.


Prof. Hamid Mukhtar

Prof. Hamid Mukhtar is Associate Professor of Biotechnology at Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, GC University, Lahore. He has been actively contributing in teaching and research since 1996 in different areas of biotechnology including bioprocess technology, enzymology, bioremediation and protein purification. Dr. Mukhtar is one of the active young scientists of Pakistan who has published 56 papers in peer reviewed impact factor scientific journals. He has authored/co-authored 5 books. He has been conferred upon with best university teacher award in 2014 By HEC, Pakistan. He is on the editorial/review board of many International & national research journals.


Dr. Muhammad Mustehsan Bashir

Dr. Muhammad Mustehsan Bashir is a Plastic Surgeon. He is Head of Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery and Burn Unit, King Edward Medical University and Consultant Plastic surgeon at Mayo Hospital, Lahore. The Burn department at King Edward Medical University is Equipped with latest machinery and all state-of-the-art procedures are being performed in the unit including reconstructive, cosmetic, microvascular and trauma surgery. Today the department caters to a staggering average of 6270 patients annually and operates on 1476 Patients yearly.


Dr. Ehmer Al-Ibran

Dr. Ehmer is an Associate Professor and Consultant Plastic surgeon and burns specialist/burn surgeon. He holds MBBS and MS degrees and has many years of experience. He is head of Burn unit at DOW University of Health Sciences, Civil Hospital, Karachi. Burn unit at civil hospital is very busy centre in Karachi and patients from different areas of Sindh are admitted here.



Dr. Mohammad Mughese Amin

Dr. Mughese is a plastic surgeon. He is the member of Pakistan society of plastic surgeons, member of hair restoration society of Pakistan, member international society of hair restoration surgery. He has numerous publications and presented in many forums all around the world. He is currently working in Quaid e Azam Medical College Bahawalpur. He is also running Amin Transplant and Cosmetic Surgery Center. Amin clinic is the first cosmetic and hair transplant clinic established in bahawalpur and multan in 2002. It is serving the people of southern Punjab with all kind of plastic surgery services.


Prof. Asim Khalid Mahmood

Prof. Asim is a professor in University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He got ample opportunity to operate small and large animals. He is also officer-incharge in UVAS. He has established a full fledge laboratory for small animals well equipped with latest digital x-ray machine, video endoscope for gastro and duodenoscopy.
