Visit of Engr. Muazzam Rasheed (CEO & owner of BinRasheed Group of companies)

Departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering organized a visit of BinRasheed Group of companies on 3rd Jan, 2023. The delegation, from BinRasheed Group of companies including the honorable CEO and owner Engr. Muazzam Rasheed, Mr. Faisal and Ms. Haolla, was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali (HoD Chemistry) and Dr. Asim Laeeq Khan (HoD Chemical Engineering). This visit included faculty interaction, talk with the students and lab visits. The main purpose of visit was to establish the Academia-Industry linkage. Respected Guest Eng. Muazzam Rasheed gave a very fruitful talk on the topic of “Possible establishment of Academia-Industry linkages” to the students of departments of chemistry & chemical engineering. During talk, he was mainly focused on the Soft skill learning, Line of business, Industry vertical, Short certification. Later on, the HoDs of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering gave a brief introduction of their respective faculties and all the facilities that CUI, Lahore campus has in terms of infra-structure, teaching and research equipments etc. The delegation also visited the labs of departments of chemistry, chemical engineering and IRCBM. The meeting turned out to be highly productive and marked the beginning of a successful academic partnership ensuring scholarships for highly motivated students through CSR as well as prospering industrial ties. We are hopeful to sign MoUs with them in a number of fields in near future, Insha'Allah.
