Food Safety and Security
Food safety and quality assurance have gained much prominence in order to meet the challenges of ever-growing food demand. We are actively involved in conducting the research in finding the digitalized solutions to the current food safety challenges. Our group is involved in fabrication of sensing platforms to detect unsafe levels of chemical compounds (chemical fertilizers, pesticides, preservatives, and antibiotics), toxins and pathogens in food which are serious threat to the safety of food supply and public health. Moreover, early detection of food spoilage is also being explored aiming the food safety and security of packed meat.
