PakWheels IT wing runs a workshop on passing the coding interview
The IT wing of PakWheels visited the CS Department for a workshop on
“How to pass a coding interview”.

VisioSpark 2019 — two first positions
CUI Wah Campus organised VisioSpark 2019, with students from universities across
Pakistan taking part. Students of the Computer Science Department at CUI Lahore took:
- 1st position in the Software Projects Competition
- 1st position in the Web Development Competition

PCSIR Science & Technology Expo cum Conference
A two-day Science and Technology Expo cum Conference was held at the PCSIR Laboratories
Complex. Computer Science Department students made an inspirational representation, and all
the projects were a focus for the media and participants. A DAWN News reporter took a
particular interest in Stance Detection for the Fake News Challenge,
supervised by Dr Waqas Anwar, and produced a news package on it.

MoU with PureLogics
CUI Lahore has signed an MoU with PureLogics, who specialise in Web 2.0 application
development with strong exposure to large-scale web applications, very large databases and
high traffic. Their expertise covers PHP frameworks, MySQL, Python, Django, Amazon Web
Services, social networking, e-commerce and SaaS platforms.
Industry
MoU with Horizon Technologies
CUI Lahore has signed an MoU with Horizon Technologies, a renowned software house, to train
students of the Department of Computer Science to industrial standards.
These software houses select our students on merit through test and interview. Selected
students are engaged in practical industrial projects with a competitive stipend, and their
FYPs are then linked with industrial projects with the consent of the supervisor and the
approval of the FYP Committee.
