Research Groups

Research is the key component of the department of Computer Science as faculty members and students are actively involved in their respective research areas. Research in the department is organized as a series of the following closely related themes:

• Software Engineering Research Center (SERC)
• Knowledge Discovery & Data Mining (KDDM) Research Group
• Vision, Image, Graphics and Robotics (VIGR)
• WSS- Semantic Web and Services
• Center for Advanced Research in Distributed systems and Security (CARDS)
• Intelligent Machines & Robotics
• Machine Perception & Visual Intelligence Research Group
• Cyber Security Research Group (CYSRG)

These research groups have produced papers in the international and national journals and conferences. The department also organizes a workshop on Computing called “CUI Workshop on Research in Computing (CWRC).”
