Eight BS Media & Communication Studies students of COMSATS University Lahore were selected as Global Youth Reporters for an Emerson College (USA) web series against hate crime and social injustice.
8 Students From Media Studies Department Of COMSATS University Lahore Are Selected As World Youth Reporters From Pakistan.
Emerson College of United States is launching a web series to eliminate the hate crime and social injustice through out the world. This web series is an action plan devised after the brutal killing of black man in USA recently. Young students from 16-24 years were given opportunity from more than 30 countries including USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Turkey, Nepal, Portugal, Spain, Pakistan, Iran, Germany, Malaysia, South Africa, UAE Etc to show their English and reporting skills. Considering CUIs close relationships with Media Department of Emerson College, mock videos of 6 anchors and bio data of two producers were recommended by COMSATS university department of media studies and they have been selected as Global Youth Reporters.
The selected students of BS Media & Communication Studies are: Saman Javed, Ajwa Aman, Suleman Asim, Hussnain Amir, Iman Ashraf, Laiba Umar, Sandeed Sheikh and Rijaa Ammad.
Great Achievement of CUI Media Studies
The participation of Pakistani media students in a global web series has been rated as great achievement of Media Studies COMSATS University and this exposure will help them compete at global media horizon.
