Message from the HoD
As a Head of Electrical Engineering (EE) Department, it is my pleasure to
welcome you to a department that thrives on innovation, excellence,
and a commitment to shaping the future of Technology. Whether you
are a prospective student, researcher, or industry partner, you will find a
vibrant and dynamic community here at the EE Department, dedicated
to advancing knowledge and solving real-world challenges.
We take pride in providing an environment that fosters creativity, critical
thinking, and collaboration. Our state-of-the-art laboratories and
research facilities allow students to engage in practical learning, while
our partnerships with leading industries, which are also members of our
Industrial Advisory Board, open doors to exciting career opportunities.
Apart from the curriculum, the EE department regularly arranges
workshops, seminars, industrial visits, and internships for the students
to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical
applications, exposing them to real-world challenges, and fostering
industry connections, ultimately preparing them for successful careers.
Our graduates are making significant contributions worldwide, and we
are proud of the impact they continue to create. Currently at the EE
Department, we are offering programs like BS Electrical Engineering
(BEE) with specialization streams of Computer, Robotics and Control,
Power, Electronics, Telecommunication, and Electric Vehicles (in the
pipeline), MS Electrical Engineering (MSEE), MS in Energy Systems
Engineering (MSESE) and PhD in Electrical Engineering (PEE). Keeping in
view the latest market trends, Artificial Intelligence is a mandatory
course for the new intake of the BEE program.
Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a growing trend to equip engineering
students with creative skills to solve real-world problems. The OBE-
based education focuses on what students can do after learning rather
than just what they know. Our BEE program is based on the OBE system
to produce competent engineers to fulfill modern industrial demands. As
a testament to our excellence in engineering education, all the batches
of BEE program are accredited at level-II by the Pakistan Engineering
Council (PEC).
Our faculty members are not only accomplished researchers but also
passionate educators and mentors. Their expertise spans key areas such
as renewable energy, artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning,
fault tolerant control, Antena design, signal processing, applied
electromagnetics, Computer Networks and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (EVs),
etc. fields that are shaping the future.
We look forward to seeing you excel!
Dr. Mirza Tariq Hamayun
Head of the Department
