Power Electronics and Industrial Electronics Lab

Power Electronics and industrial electronics are such fields of study that gained a momentous attention from last two decade due the advancement in fabrication of high power solid state devices. It is practical application of energy conversion processes for different industrial and consumer products. In this, semiconductor physics of different power electronics devices, their applications in industry and domestic appliances, their performance evaluation, design, analysis and implementation of different energy converters are carried out. Moreover, operation and implementation of industrial level controllers, transducers, sensors and necessary signal conditioning are studied. Hand on experience on PLC programming and process control scenarios are delivered. This bridge the gap between academia and industry. Current lab is state of the art and has been developed as per Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) guidelines with ten workstations, thus three students per work bench. The lab has been equipped with hardware/software from Electronica veneata.
