NCEAC Zero Visit of BS Cyber Security, Computer Science Department

NCEAC Zero Visit of BS Cyber Security was held on Friday, 22 September, 2023. NCEAC Convener Professor Dr. Qaiser Durrani, from GIFT University visited the Computer Science department. The purpose of this event was to get accreditation from the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC). NCEAC Convener was welcomed by the Director CUI Lahore Professor Dr. Syed Asad Hussain, Dean FIST Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Habib, Head of Department Dr. Farooq Ahmad and other committee members. After welcome session, NCEAC Convener had a short meeting with Dean FIST to discuss the major objectives of the program. After the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was delivered, covering various aspects of the program. The presentation was followed by Q&A session and was attended by the Dean FIST, HoD CS and senior faculty members of the department. NCEAC Convener was accompanied by the committee members to facilitate the infrastructure visit. Campus library was the first thing to visit and later had the visit to labs and classrooms intended to be utilized by the said program. After that, NCEAC Convener went to the HoD CS office for the desk audit that comprised of presenting different documents and notifications for review. During this session, a short faculty meeting was also conducted with different faculty members. The visit concluded with vote of thanks. The program evaluation and accreditation visit proved to be a comprehensive and well-organized event, showcasing the commitment to maintain high educational standards and seeking external validation.
