Final Year Project Exhibition held on 17th January 2022 was organized by Computer Science department in which FYP-II evaluation for FALL 2021 was done. The dean FIST, Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Habib was the chief guest of the event. He graced the event with his presence and appreciated the rigor of FYP evaluations and quality of poster exhibition. Several senior faculty members from other reputed universities as well as experts from software industries were invited to judge the quality of final projects of CS/SE students. This event had following phases:
FYP-II Evaluation:
All the final year students from both the computer science and software engineering programs were evaluated on the basis of their presentation and demonstration. External evaluators from different reputed universities and industrial experts were invited for rigorous independent evaluation.
Posters Exhibition:
All the final year students were also encouraged to develop posters of their projects. Students were appreciated on their hard work by external evaluators.
Recruitment Drive:
The event also included a recruitment drive with the corporation of CS Industrial Liaison Committee. Several reputed software companies visited the campus for the testing, interviews, and recruitment of final year students. Various companies conducted on-spot interviews of different students which ended up hiring students, even before the formal completion of their degrees. Also, formal tests were conducted and dozens of students were shortlisted for interviews. Following companies visited for recruitment drive:
Certificate Distribution:
To appreciate the efforts of students and supervisors, certificates were distributed to top 3 best projects and posters. For the honor, certificates were also given to the companies that were invited for the recruitment drive. The event was concluded with a note of thanks from the Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Waqas Anwar and group photos with the faculty and the graduating batch.
