Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab)

Inaugurated on November 3, 2023 under the European Union Erasmus+ TAKEUP Project, FabLab CUI Lahore is a state-of-the-art digital fabrication platform empowering students, faculty, and innovators to turn ideas into physical prototypes.

Institutional Initiative

Bridging the Prototyping Gap in Higher Education

Established as part of the TAKEUP Project (takeup.eu) funded under the Erasmus+ Programme of Capacity Building in Higher Education by the European Union (total project funding: €1 Million), FabLab at CUI Lahore Campus directly addresses a critical gap in Pakistan: the lack of advanced digital fabrication facilities for prototyping.

Initiated by Saarland University, Germany, in collaboration with European and Pakistani universities, FabLab serves as an interdisciplinary ecosystem where students, researchers, and designers convert business ideas into tangible, market-ready products.
