Overview
Dedicated to Campus Safety & Protection
The Security Section of COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, is responsible
for planning, developing, recommending, and implementing comprehensive safety
policies and operational procedures designed to protect employees, students, and
campus visitors. To achieve optimal protection across all premises, the department
strategically deploys on-ground security personnel at vital points, while broader
campus areas are monitored through an extensive, multi-point CCTV network. Central
to this architecture is a dedicated Security Control Room that serves as the core
operational hub, continually overseeing daily activities, regulating campus entry
and exit, managing parking facilities, and providing 24/7 surveillance to safeguard
all physical assets against damage or unauthorized access.
Operationally, the Control Room maintains dynamic communication with field guards
through a dedicated wireless network, facilitating seamless coordination across
routine and emergency workflows. The department enforces strict verification
protocols for visiting personnel and leads thorough investigations into any reported
thefts or accidents to provide immediate relief and maintain a stable environment.
Additionally, the Security Section maintains an active Emergency Response Team,
executes standardized firefighting procedures, and conducts regular safety awareness
training for staff and students, ensuring the university community is fully
equipped to respond effectively to any untoward incident.
