Final Year Project Exhibition – Fall 2023

Department of Computer Science showcased its Final Year Project Exhibition on Wednesday, 17th January 2024. There were 20 plus teams of evaluators who thoroughly evaluated the students work. Each team consisted of three team members: Two internals – who were from the faculty of Computer Science and one external member – who was either from industry or academia. The students work throughout their final year to turn the brilliant ideas into useful products which are considered game changing solutions for various community problems. The students presented their work to the evaluators through presentation and live demo of their web/mobile app solutions. They also prepared posters to showcase their work. There was a poster competition held along with this to encourage students to learn some other skills as well.

There were total of 95 groups who presented their work, 59 teams from BS Computer Science and 36 teams from BS Software Engineering. After successful completion of evaluation process, top 3 teams from each program were selected as position holders and were awarded prizes.

FYP Evaluation day was concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where Chief Guest Umer Malik – CEO Expert Systems Solution, Director CUI, Lahore Campus Dr. Syed Asad Hussain and HoD Computer Science Department Dr. Farooq Ahmad graced the event. The ceremony started with wisdom words from Director CUI Campus Dr. Syed Asad Hussain who congratulated all the students on successful completion of their FYPs and their degree programs. Later the guests distributed certificates to the winning groups. Cash prizes to the winners of projects were also awarded by the industrial persons to encourage and appreciate student’s efforts. The certificates were also presented to the supervisors of the winning projects in recognition of their efforts towards their students.
