Who We Are

Dedicated to People & Excellence

The Human Resource (HR) Section of COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus is responsible for managing the complete employees lifecycle in accordance with the University's Statutes, Service Rules, and HEC policies. The Section primarily execute, manpower planning, recruitment and selection, appointments, probation, confirmation, promotions, transfers, leave management, performance appraisal, contract administration, employee records, disciplinary matters, and retirement cases for all employees.

It also coordinates with the Principal Seat on HR policy implementation, maintains official HR records, ensures regulatory compliance, facilitates committee proceedings related to human resources, and provides administrative support to the Campus Management. The Section is committed to ensuring transparent, efficient, and service-oriented HR practices while supporting the University's academic and administrative objectives.

We manage the lifecycle of hiring academic and professional staff, ensuring a fair, transparent, and rigorous selection process.

  • Human resource planning and development as per the HR needs of the Campus
  • Recruitment, selection, appointment, and onboarding of faculty and non-faculty employees
  • Processing of probation, confirmation, contract renewal, and regularization cases

Operations & Salary Administration

Supporting our employees and their families with comprehensive benefits, allowances, and support systems.

  • Processing of salary-related HR matters, in coordination with the other relevant Section(s)
  • Maintenance of employees' personal files, service records, and HR database
  • Preparation of HR reports, seniority lists, service certificates, experience certificates, notifications, and coordination with the Principal Seat and other departments on HR matters

Professional Development

Enhancing employee capabilities, pedagogical standards, and leadership skills through structured training and review.

Empowering Campus Growth: The HR department coordinates regular professional development workshops, pedagogical training for faculty, and advanced skills training for administrative staff. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and leveraging modern learning platforms, we enhance pedagogical standards and operational efficiency across the campus.

  • Processing of promotions, Time Scale Promotions (TSP), Appraisals and Contract Review Committee (ACRC), and career progression matters

Leaves, Policy & Compliance

Ensuring operational compliance and helping employees with day-to-day administrative requests and documentation.

  • Administration of leaves, attendance, study leave, NOCs, transfers, postings, and deputation cases
  • Handling of disciplinary proceedings, inquiries, grievances, and interpretation/implementation of HR policies, statutes, and regulations

Mr. Asim Ali

Serving as the primary focal person for the Human Resource Section at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus. Directing HR strategies, talent development programs, employee relations, welfare benefits, and institutional staffing alignments.
