Skin Regeneration
The thematic focus of Prof. Muhammad Yar and his team center on skin regeneration and tissue engineering, with an emphasis on developing innovative biomaterials and therapeutic strategies to restore damaged or diseased skin. Their work integrates principles of material science, cell biology, and biomedical engineering to design and evaluate bioactive scaffolds that support cellular growth, vascularization, and tissue remodeling. They explore both natural and synthetic polymers to create advanced skin substitutes and wound healing platforms. Through a combination of in vitro and in vivo studies, they aim to enhance understanding of the regenerative microenvironment and translate our findings into clinically viable solutions for chronic wounds, burns, and other skin injuries.
