A visit to Punjab safe City Authories Headquaters lahore, for the students of Computer Science Department was arranged on Tuesday 22nd May 2018. Students visited the different sections of center and were briefed about Punjab Police Integrated Command and control Center(PPIC3) for the surveillance, security and monitoring of whole city. The visit has provided the CS students great insight about the use of advanced technology systems like automated face recognition system, Integrated traffic management system, number plate detection system, emergency alert systems, and numerous other systems being used there. Students showed keen interest in those systems as it was relevant to their field, and learned about advanced IT methods. The Operation Commander briefed the delegation with audio visual presentations on various objectives as well. PSCA is keen to absorb able youths in its workforce, he added. The students felt overwhelmed by the level of excellence carried out in an intricate ICT project of its kind in Pakistan. It is a wonderful workplace and learning environment for young graduates and professionals.
