RISE – Research for Innovation in Sustainable Energy – is a multidisciplinary research group under the Centre for Policy Studies (CPS), COMSATS University Lahore Campus.
Our Purpose
To serve as a platform for generating new knowledge, innovative technologies, and actionable policy recommendations that accelerate Pakistan’s transition to a sustainable energy future.
Our Journey
RISE builds on the foundation of the Energy Research Centre (ERC), which contributed significantly to renewable energy education, awareness, and training. Recognizing the need to broaden ERC’s scope, COMSATS restructured it into RISE in 2025 to strengthen policy integration, innovation, and global partnerships.
