DA Talk Series: Climate Responsive Architecture in Iran
A lecture was organised on the topic “Climate Responsive Architecture in Iran” for Energy and Environment Class , second year Architecture as a part of D lecture series on 27th April 2022. .
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Shariyeh Hosseini Nasab, who is an Iranian Architect and researcher. She has done her PhD in Architecture with focuse on “Different approaches to the revitalization of historic city centers" from University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore and currently she is serving as the head of architecture department at COMSATS University (CUI) Lahore, Pakistan.
The lecture addressed several vernacular solutions adopted in traditional architecture of Iran for adjustability to the harsh climate of hot and arid area. The lecture was well attended by the students and faculty of Architecture and it was ended by an active Q/A session.
