Prof. Dr. Asma Tufail Shah from IRCBM is leading a collaborative research project with Dr. Oliver Goerke, Chair of Advanced Ceramics, Technical University (TU) Berlin, Germany. The collaboration is supported by a research grant under the “Research Group Linkage Programme” of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. The project is entitled “3D and 4D Printing of Polymer-Free Lithium Silicate Composites from Lithium Water Glass with Functional Clay Fillers for Critical Bone Defects and the Study of Structure–Property Relationships Using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.”
Prof. Dr. Asma Tufail Shah at IRCBM is engaged in a collaborative research project with Dr. Jochen Salber from the Department of Experimental Surgery, Ruhr University Bochum, under the Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Return Fellowship for advanced research and application of biomaterials. The project is entitled “Novel Hydrogel-Based Bioartificial Basal Membrane to Bioengineer In Vitro Human Renal Proximal Tubules and Development of a Bioreactor for Dynamic Cell Studies.”
The Dental Materials and Clinical Applications (DMCA) Group, led by Prof. Dr. Asma Tufail Shah, has a strong collaboration with Dr. Franziska Schmidt from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. This joint venture is focused on product development and commercialization of dental biomaterials.
