B.Design Exhibition 2023

Today’s way of life has come down to external pursuits and gratification. This shallow living has made us go astray from our true and higher selves. The feelings of unfulfillment, purposelessness, and meaninglessness are common regardless of the material progression. These emotional turmoils though painful to experience, can cause you to go on a spiritual awakening journey: a journey towards a higher consciousness, enlightenment, and fulfillment. This thesis aims to highlight the significance of a spiritual awakening journey. Awareness of these phenomena is vital, as spiritual turmoil affects everyone. This study also explores the concept of Noor (divine light) as the form of guidance through the darkness of a spiritual journey and gives insight in the form of a Platformer video game to help people navigate their own paths of self-discovery and spiritual growth.

‘Soul Quest’ is a video game, which will immerse the players in a transformative journey of spiritual awakening. The game explores the stages of the spiritual awakening process, aiming to raise awareness and highlight the profound significance of this inner journey. By embracing the guidance of Noor, the divine light that illuminates their path players will navigate through the stages, shedding layers of illusion and reconnecting with their true essence. This game design seeks to inspire players to embark on their own transformative journeys, fostering a deeper understanding of their inner selves and the boundless potential that lies within.
