Nurturing Life Skills

The area of research that has been chosen is ‘Life Skills’. Narrowing down the area of focus to material knowledge, brainstorming, cognitive, speech and language, and motor skills. The importance it holds for a specific age group of 6 to 8 years of children as research states, Life Skills help to develop physical development which contributes to their overall health and well-being and learn daily life skills. During this period, children's bodies continue to develop and learn daily life skills and they become more physically competent and coordinated. Additionally, physical activity during this age range helps children maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases, and improve their mental health and academic performance by doing daily tasks. Still, unfortunately, 38.4% of children lack it and 28.9% are dealing with obesity. These statistics are very alarming, but the more alarming thing is that In Pakistan no major work is being done to fight this problem. Mental and physical health is being affected by this group without them even knowing. So, the idea is to use the same medium in which this age group (6 to 8 years) is interested and uses regularly so the interest can be maintained while working on their well-being. The concept is to create an open-world game that breaks some unhealthy lifestyle patterns for kids. The design is going to be a blend between physical activities, games, and technology. Interactive activities that keep you fit while breaking the norms at the same time as ‘A’ is not necessarily for Apple it can be an Astronaut too.
