Uncanny Reality
When the world met social media, they disregarded the dire consequences it exposed them to. People heavily rely on the filtered world but what filter do you choose when you find the inner turmoil of emotions UGLY? Social media aims to connect you with the world but is the price of this connection the disconnection from ONESELF? My graphic novel “Uncanny Reality” unveils the catastrophic road that social media can lead one to. When a young boy fails to comply to the expectations that society imposes on him, he goes in search of peace. Does social media rescue him or is it just an excuse for him to manifest his darkest desire?
