MD Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (PEECA) visited COMSATS Energy Research Center
Mr. Qasim Khokhar, Managing Director Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (PEECA), visited CIIT Lahore on 21-April-2016 and had a meeting with Energy Research Center and Electrical Engineering Department. Head Energy Research center, Mr. Khalid Saeed and HoD Electrical Engineering Department, Dr. Sobia Baig, introduced COMSATS and their respective departments.
Mr. Qasim Khokhar was briefed on the Projects Proposals submitted to Punjab Energy Department to establish Cable and LED Testing Labs, and Energy Auditing of Public Sector Buildings. He was also briefed on the power improvement factor and proof of concept demonstrated at CIIT Lahore. Head EE briefed MD PEECA about the available research facilities in the department followed by a short visit to EE Labs. Mr. Qasim lauded strength of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in energy auditing and expressed his views to develop collaboration with CIIT and support the projects by PECCA.
