Abstract

The lecture will focus on the on-going teaching and research activities in the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark. A brief introduction to the research facilities with emphasis on the Smart Energy System laboratory (https://www.et.aau.dk/laboratories/power-systems-laboratories/smart-energy-systems/) will be given. This laboratory captures in a Real-Time Hardware-In-the-Loop framework all domains, zones and layers defined by the Smart Grid Architecture Model but also extended to other energy networks. Some examples of on-going research projects that reached a high Technology Readiness Levels will be presented.
