Abstract

Reducing the cost of electricity, improving the reliability of the power supply and improving the power quality are the key roles of the electrical energy storage. It is expected that electrical energy storage will solve many problems, including excessive power fluctuation and undependable power supply due to the use of high penetration levels of renewable energy in the future power grids. This presentation will highlight on the needs and the challenges of electrical energy storage.
