Research Topics For Ms Students

Dr Naeem Awais
Modeling of Resistive Switching Devices: Mathematical modeling of resistive switching devices will be done in this research project to include the entire nonlinearities exit in the device.
Memristor-bases Analog/Digital Circuits: Almost all analog/digital circuits are designed through transistors. In this research project a novel design for analog/digital circuits is proposed. The proposed solution involved the design of circuits with memristor.

Overhead Reduction in RUN: An Optimal Multiprocessor Scheduling Algorithm
An Efficient Core Switching Technique to Avoid Thermal Threshold values in Multicore Systems.
Dr Ahmad Saeed
Compiler based security-functional properties: The main aim of this project will be to develop compiler transformations to support the enforcement of security-functional characteristics (illegal memory accesses detection, data security) in applications targeting embedded systems.
Intrusion detection for Reconfigurable devices: This project will target design of real-time intrusion detection mechanisms for reconfigurable devices which are often deployed in unprotected environments and at the same time being constrained by limited resources.
Security-aware quality of service for low-power IoTs: The tremendous growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has changed the world of embedded systems along with the availability of low-cost typical IoT components. This project will focus on enhancing existing security measures with respect to quantitative analysis of quality of services (QoS) under different attack scenarios.
Detection of Uninitialized Memory Accesses in C/C++ Based Programs: The main aim of this project is to provide memory protection by developing a generic and scalable solution that can detect and report uninitialized memory access errors. The final solution will act as an optimization tool for the C/C++ based programs.
