ISAEM 2018

1st International Symposium on Advanced Energy Materials: Production to Storage (ISAEM 2018) was successfully organized by Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Biomedical Materials at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus on 25 Jun 2018. Event was well attended by the speakers and participants from all over Pakistan and abroad. ISAEM 2018 aim to bring together academics and researchers from within and outside of Pakistan to discuss latest progress and development in energy production and its storage. Speakers in the symposium highlighted the present energy situation within and outside of Pakistan. They all agreed that the present reliance on the fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal should be reduced due to their adverse effects on the environment and depletion. They emphasized on the development of new renewable/alternative clean energy resources e.g. biomass, solar, wind etc. Furthermore, speakers discussed about the development of new materials to harvest sunlight and convert it to energy.
