Accreditation

We are proud to announce that our program is fully accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council under the Washington Accord.
The Washington Accord is an international agreement for the recognition of professional engineering qualifications. It was established in 1989 and is currently governed by the International Engineering Alliance (IEA). The Accord recognizes the substantial equivalency of engineering degree programs accredited by the signatory bodies, and therefore the graduates of such programs are recognized by the other signatory bodies as having met the academic requirements for entry to the practice of engineering.
COMSATS University’s BS Chemical Engineering program is fully accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), which is a signatory of the Washington Accord. This accreditation is a testament to the quality of our program and the commitment of our faculty to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the field of chemical engineering.
The significance of this accreditation lies in the fact that it allows our graduates to have their qualifications recognized by other signatory bodies around the world. This means that they have the opportunity to work and practice as engineers in other countries, providing them with a wider range of career opportunities. Additionally, it also indicates that our program meets the international standards of quality and rigor and is recognized as such by the engineering profession worldwide.
