The aim of ROAR is to promote the development of open access by providing timely information about the growth and status of repositories throughout the World.
Open access to research maximises research access and thereby also research impact, making research more productive and effective.

DSpace is a digital service that collects, preserves, and distributes digital material. Repositories are important tools for preserving an organization's legacy; they facilitate digital preservation and scholarly communication. CUI Lahore Library collects, preserve and distribute the intellectual assests of COMSATS students.

The University of Pretoria supports free access to research literature for all researchers worldwide and takes responsibility for the dissemination of its own research outputs.
