AESIM 2025:
This school is designed for master’s and advanced undergraduate students, providing foundational training in combinatorial commutative algebra with a focus on accessible yet rigorous topics. Key areas covered include simplicial complexes, polynomial rings, homological algebra, monomial ideals, Cohen-Macaulay properties of monomial ideals, and their connections to combinatorial structures like matroids and posets. Each module is tailored to build both theoretical understanding and practical skills, utilizing computational tools such as Python and Macaulay2 to demonstrate applications in algebraic geometry, optimization, and polyhedral theory.
