APEE Research Group at EE Department and IEEE PES is organizing a three-day Robotics Training Workshop from 15th to 17th March 2017 at the Control Systems Lab, EE Department. Training instructors are officially linked with NUST NATIONAL ENGINEERING ROBOTICS CONTEST (NERC) competition. They have successfully conducted such workshops in other universities like LUMS and Imperial College of Business Studies.

Day wise tentative breakdown of topics which shall be covered in this workshop is given as under.

Day 1:
PROE along with Robot Design Theories, Motors Specs Calculations, Robot Specs selection and related tools

Day 2:
Basics of Robots based Electronics, its Circuit Design and Simulation tools on Proteus and MultiSim

Day 3:
Different Robotic Algorithms, Arduino programming and interfacing it with Lab View, MATLAB and Visual micro

The said event can prove very helpful for all engineering students in general and for the FYP students in particular.

Participants of this workshop shall be provided with refreshment and gift vouchers such as free NERC registration and free sensor kits etc.

Faculty members of EE Department are encouraged to prompt their students to participate in this workshop that would help them academically as well as professionally.

Looking forward for a warm response.

For further details, please contact Mr. Nawaizsh Ali ( Research Associate EE).

Course Details

Industrial Automation and Process control design
The Course is a comprehensive training program which will increase you skill and experience regarding Electrical Industry, Automation and Control and principles of installation when designing a project. This is an intermediate training program using SIEMENS S7-300/400 PLC, HMI and SCADA. This is for the users who are involved with developing or sustaining automation systems and their application programs.
This training program is also a key and helpful step for engineers who plan to pursue their career in evergreen industrial automation field.
Hence the course will make you eligible for any type of Job/project in the industry with Hands-on skills learnt at FITT.
Throughout this course participants will build or modify STEP 7 projects using proper program structuring, documentation and test tools. Various instructions, memory types, blocks and functions will be introduced to provide the participant with solid concepts of structured programming. Each lab will be practical based and will be implemented through real industry based scenarios.

Certification

At the end of every training course/session the participants will  be awarded certificates By FITT in collaboration with MEGA Energy, China affiliated with COMSATS Institute of Information Technology providing the best trust for Job and career security, while the certification is verifiable nationally and internationally.
