Independence Day Celebrations and Tree Plantation Drive

Pakistan’s Independence Day, annually held on August 14. We celebrate this day as an occasion with patriotic zest, on this day we promote patriotism and national unity. On the auspicious occasion of 71 st Independence Day of Pakistan, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus convened Flag Hoisting Ceremony. The ceremony was attended by a large crowd comprising of Staff, Faculty members, higher management and students of the university. Prof. Dr. M. A. Farooqui, Acting Director CUI, Lahore Campus hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering. The Head of Departments, Faculty, Administrative Heads, Students and Staff Members actively participated in the event and expressed jubilation through national songs and patriotic speeches. The ceremony closed to distribution of sweets which was a feast for all. Some glimpses of the event are given below;.
