Specific titles of courses may vary from year to year. Planned courses for incoming class are as follows:

FIRST Semester: The students will take three courses in the first semester
  • Algebraic Topology (Alex Clark, Queen Mary University, London, UK)
  • Differential Geometry (Marco Abate, Pisa University, Italy)
  • Qualitative Theory of ODEs (Sergey Tikhomirov, Univ. of St Petersburg, Russia)
SECOND Semester: The students will take three courses in the second semester
  • Real Analysis (Prof Emanuel Carneiro, ICTP, Trieste, Italy.
  • Algebra (Prof Sarfraz Ahmad and/or Prof. Volkmar Welker, Phillips Universitat, Germany)
  • Third fundamental course to be decided (e.g. Number Theory, PDEs, Numerical Analysis)
THIRD Semester: The students will take two specialized courses in the third semester
(Students choose two and not all courses are offered every year)
  • Chaos and Fractals (Jeroen Lamb, Imperial College London, UK)
  • Dynamical Systems (StefanoLuzzatto, ICTP and/or Jose Alves, Porto, Portugal)
  • Probabilistic Models (Mark Roberts, Surrey University, UK)
  • Graph Theory (CUI faculty possibly with international professor suggested by faculty)
  • Cosmology (CUI faculty possibly with international professor suggested by faculty)
  • Fluid Dynamics (CUI faculty possibly with international professor suggested by faculty)
  • Integral Inequalities (CUI faculty possibly with international professor suggested by faculty)
FOURTH Semester The student will work on the thesis with his foreign/local supervisor.
Exams and Evaluation: A student will only study one course in a month. The final exam will be at the end of each month. At the end of the MS program, the student has to pass 8 courses and successfully defend a thesis.
