I am an architect with over 15 years of professional experience and 10 years in academia at Comsats Lahore. I am the founder of ZD Studio and principal architect at Karawaanserai Studio, a firm dedicated to disaster-proofing structures.
My current research interests focus on:
-Material Computation: Developing computational frameworks where design is driven by material behavior and environmental constraints.
-Disaster-Resilient Architecture: Retrofitting and strengthening , creating adaptive, sustainable shelters using optimized materials like high performance steel assembly, bamboo, cementitiuous composite material, 3-D printing of bio engineered materials.
-Pedagogical Innovation: Cultivating the next generation of architects as "computational maymars" fluent in both digital tools and tactile materiality.
I'm open to collaborative research opportunities, speaking engagements, and partnerships with organizations working at the intersection of advanced computation, material science, and humanitarian architecture.
