In 2013, Mr. Azeem joined the Department of Chemistry in Institute of Leadership and Management, Lahore as a Lecturer and served there till August 2014. In the year 2014, he was offered a position of Research Associate (R.A) at the Department of Chemical Engineering, CIIT Lahore, Pakistan. Later on, he was promoted as Lecturer at the same department in the year 2015.

Currently, He is on study leave for Ph.D. at KAIST (Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), South Korea.

His major research interest includes; Membrane Fabrication, Biofuel Production, Green Energy Harvesting, Better Biowaste Utilization
