Dr. Muhammad Aksam Iftikhar is associated with COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus since 2014. His academic achievements include multiple research productivity awards at COMSATS, fully funded research scholarship for PhD, distinction (Gold Medal) at undergraduate level and a 1-year PGD certification in Education/Teaching. His primary research areas include Image Processing (especially medical image processing and analysis), Machine Learning and Deep Learning. He has published 30+ research articles (with 19 articles in Impact Factor journals (ISI-indexed) of international repute), and his citation count (Google Scholar) is 800+. 

He has more than 10+` years of professional and teaching/research experience to his credit. He has taught various subjects at graduate/undergrad level including Digital Image Processing, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, and all programming subjects.He also has 2.5 years hands on experience in software development for university information system. Many graduate and undergraduate students have completed/are conducting their thesis/project under his supervision.

His personal interests include book reading, outdoor sports (especially swimming) and bike riding tourism.
